1. Consent to use electronic records and signatures
By choosing to sign electronically, you agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature, and you consent to receive and sign the documents described below in electronic form. Your agreement is governed by the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN) and applicable state Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) laws.
2. Documents covered
This consent applies to housing license agreements (Impact Housing provides licenses to occupy, not leases or tenancies), house rules acknowledgements, releases of information, renewal notices, and related housing documents we make available to you electronically.
3. How documents are delivered and signed
Documents are delivered through a secure electronic signing service. You access your documents via a one-time secure link (magic link) sent to the email address on file — we never use or store a password. You may review each document on screen before signing and may decline to sign.
4. Hardware and software you'll need
To access and retain electronic records you will need: a current web browser; an email account able to receive messages from us; a device with internet access; and the ability to view and save PDF files. Keep your contact email current so you continue to receive documents.
5. Requesting paper copies
You may request a paper copy of any signed document at no charge by contacting us using the details below. Requesting a paper copy does not, by itself, withdraw your consent to use electronic records.
6. Withdrawing your consent
You may withdraw your consent to do business electronically at any time before signing by contacting us. If you withdraw consent we will arrange an alternative signing method. Withdrawal does not affect the validity of documents you already signed electronically.
7. Keeping your information current
It is your responsibility to provide a true, accurate, and current email address and to notify us promptly of any change so we can send required records to you.
8. Legal effect
By signing a document electronically you confirm that you can access the information in the electronic form shown, that you consent to electronic delivery and signing, and that you intend your electronic signature to be binding.
9. Contact us
Questions about this disclosure or requests for paper copies can be sent to Impact Housing via the contact page.
